Women Are Watching
We’re watching the steady erosion of our rights in red states:
Florida — where a 6 week abortion ban went into effect May 1st. Most women don’t even know they’re pregnant til after 6 weeks;
Louisiana — which has exceptions in its abortion ban for risk of death or impairment to the patient in continuing a pregnancy and when the fetus has a fatal abnormality that makes a pregnancy medically futile, but is about to eliminate those exceptions;
Texas — where counties are banning travel for women seeking abortions, and the Republican-controlled state legislature is considering a travel ban despite doctors leaving the state in droves. Which is imperiling maternal health care;
Kansas — -where voters approved of constitutional protections for abortion, yet the Republican-controlled legislature is doing everything possible to make abortions…
