Trumpmerica Sucked: 2017
Time to get real about how bad Trump’s first term was, MAGA.
Those of us who are old enough to remember the Reagan years, know that the Trump campaign’s “are you better off now than you were four years ago?” was stolen from Ronald Reagan (as was the slogan “Make America Great Again”). Reagan asked the question during his re-election campaign. Trump’s implication is that we’re all worse off with Biden than we were with him.
Which, if you’re not a member of the cult who only gets your news from right-wing media source, you know is PATENTLY RIDICULOUS.
And if you are a member of the cult, let me remind you how awful Trump’s presidency was, and how the MAGA faithful actually suffered the most from it.
There is such a long list of Trump absurdities, atrocities, traitorous activities, grift, and simply abhorrent acts and policies, that I have to address each year in a separate article.
So, here we go. Let’s start with 2017, a year when Trump’s gaslighting started with his weird inauguration speech and ended with the appointment of a climate-change-denying oil industry exec who ended up turning on him.
