This Is F’ing Insane
I like to watch the news while I’m making coffee and eating my breakfast in the morning. I probably should stop. It’s ruining my appetite.
Seriously, am I the only one who, when watching the news the past few years, starts thinking the U.S. is absolutely nuts? I wonder what people in other countries think about us.
I’m not necessarily referring to the American people, so much — though there seems to be a fair amount of mentally unhealthy folks here. I think the system in general is insane.
Let’s take the attempted insurrection on January 6, 2021, for example.
Exhibit one: the release of legal documents in the lawsuit by Dominion Voting Systems against Fox News that prove Fox pundits said one thing about the 2020 election behind the scenes, and an entirely different thing on air — all for profits and to boost their stock price. Tucker, Laura, Sean, and even Fox News owner Rupert Murdoch himself vilified Sidney Powell, Rudy Giuliani and Mike Lindell for claims they acknowledged were false about the 2020 election. Then proceeded to give those same people whom they referred to as “crazy” a platform to spew their lies. It isn’t rocket science to make the connection between Fox News’ “fake news” and the Jan. 6 insurrection. It’s clear the Fox News sheep got all riled up when their favorite channel validated the election deniers’ lies.
