This morning, I read about the Atmore four. Atmore, Alabama is a small town with a big judicial corruption problem.

The Atmore Four were targeted by a corrupt Republican D.A. and Sheriff for refusing to renew a school superintendent’s contract

The Atmore Four are in the national news because they just filed a federal lawsuit for the constitutional violations they were subjected to.

Simply for failing to renew the contract of an apparently well-connected school superintendent, two members of the local school board were harassed and jailed on trumped up charges in a disturbing case of political retaliation. The co-owner of the local newspaper and her reporter were harassed for reporting the story.
