The Fix Is In
The media, GOP, and right-wing judges/Justices are marching a sleepwalking American electorate toward authoritarianism
Anyone who’s been following the Mar a Lago classified documents case where Trump was indicted for stealing top-secret classified documents should not be surprised that Trump-appointed judge Eileen Cannon just dismissed this case on a flimsy pretext (93 pages of parroting a small paragraph Clarence Thomas inserted just for Judge Cannon in Trump v. U.S. insinuating Special Counsel Jack Smith was illegally appointed.)
After all, three Trump-appointed Justices joined with the rest of the extremists on the Supreme Court to give Trump immunity so that a future President Trump can use Seal Team 6 to kill his enemies, so long as it’s designated (BY THE COURT) as an “official act.” They also up-ended 40 years of precedent to overturn the Chevron doctrine, which means that the safety of our air, water, food and our health itself are at the mercy now of JUDGES. Not experts, scientists and doctors who get advanced degrees and toil for years to study pollutants and pharmaceuticals and the climate. Nope. Not anymore.
