I’m old enough to remember how in 2015, Les Moonves, the former head of CBS, was caught salivating over the ad dollars giving Trump tons of free coverage was bringing in.
That sordid incident was just one example of a prominent network executive gleefully fucking over democracy for profit. In an interesting twist, Moonves turned out to be a sex pest just like Trump. New Yorker reporter Ronan Farrow, who covered the explosive story of the Enquirer’s “catch and kill’ scheme to suppress any stories that were unflattering to Trump, also blew Moonves’ cover, revealing his shady history of sexual harassment.
He resigned in 2018, providing no apologies whatsoever for helping Trump win in 2016.
