That January 6th report dropped at exactly the right time.

I argued a while back that climate change could be the issue that decides the 2024 election, and that could still be the case given the apocalyptic scenes coming out of Florida, Georgia and North Carolina in the wake of Hurricane Helene.

But Judge Tanya Chutkan’s decision to unseal Jack Smith’s report on Trump’s Jan. 6th indictment the other day could be equally if not more consequential, especially given the closing moments of the Vice Presidential debate.

This report, which was characterized by Mueller investigation attorney Andrew Weisman as containing “bombshell after bombshell” is reminding everyone of the violence and mayhem Trump incited on January 6th.
