Hint: DO NOT vote for the fossil fuel industry whores

Forget “hot girl summer.” We’re experiencing “hot hot hot planet summer.” Last Sunday was the hottest day on the planet on record. Until Monday.

And it’s not like it’s going to get any better. This will probably be the coolest summer we’ll ever experience, sadly.

So long as we can’t end our addiction to fossil fuels, we won’t be able to reverse our alarming increase in greenhouse gas emissions. And I don’t think I need to tell you what we’re in for if we can’t decrease emissions.

Right now, many of us on the east coast had no idea that wildfires are exploding out of control in the northwest to such an extent that one fire in Oregon has generated its own weather system.

So many Americans vote about personal pocketbook issues rather than anything else. There is so much more to be concerned about than if you prefer lower taxes.

I think there's a lot of confusion here. The time to stop using fossil fuels (as well as stop manufacturing, etc.) is long past. We have turned the corner. It is now impossible to stop climate change.
