How to Lose a Debate in Ten Easy Steps

Is this Trump’s 4th or 5th debate now? I’ve lost count. Frankly, I think he loses all debates because he pollutes the entire debate process with lies, exaggerations, and an inability to comprehend or talk about policy.

That being said, here are some lessons from last night on how to truly lose a debate:

1. Recycle tired old tactics from prior debates.

Like Fox News with the migrant caravan hysteria, Trump regurgitates the same b.s. for every debate.

There’s the “babies are being aborted in the 9th month” b.s. he unveiled for the first time in 2016.

There’s the “if my opponent is elected, it’ll be World War 3 or a Depression (or some other apocalyptic fate).” He did this in 2020 as well, and our economy is the strongest in the world under Biden.
