Al Franken resigns, making Republicans realize how hypocritical they’ve been.

Pretty sure this creepo only ran beauty pageants so he could perv on naked contestants. And he’s our PRESIDENT. Puke.

Haha! That headline was a joke. It sucked you in, though, didn’t it?

After allegations that he put his hand around womens’ waists during photo ops, and may have engaged in forced kissing, a bunch of Democrats decided to play the “we go high” game and call for Al Franken to resign, despite the fact that a self-admitted nonconsentual “pussy grabber” who walked in on naked teen girls at the beauty pageants he hosted is still president, and a creepy old man who likes teenage girls so much, he hit on them at shopping malls is still sucking in RNC money to run for Senate in Alabama.

Journalists reporting on Franken’s resignation must apparently be naive schoolgirls, because many of them are saying “this will put pressure on Republicans to re-evaluate their support of Trump and Moore.” Have they even PAID ATTENTION to the right wing in the last..oh, 10 years? If there’s a word that doesn’t exist in the GOP playbook, it’s “hypocrisy.”

If you don’t believe me, go check out the #AlFranken hashtag on Twitter. It’s full of right wingers crowing about how awful Franken is, and how happy they are he resigned…without the slightest hint of irony. These same idiots will defend Donald Trump, Mr. “I moved on her like a bitch” to the death. They’ll engage in backflips even Cirque du Soleil acrobats wouldn’t attempt, just to rationalize every supervillain thing Trump does.

Here’s a quiz for you — out of all the politicians who’ve been accused of assault, which ONE (and only one) called for an ethics investigation into his own actions?

I’ll give you a hint. It wasn’t the Republican rep from Texas, Blake Fahrenthold, who just admitted to using $84,000 in taxpayer funds to settle a sexual harassment claim from a female staffer.

Perhaps we should’ve waited until such an investigation took place, before we started calling for Franken’s head on a platter?

And by the way, none of this is to be construed as, “She doesn’t believe the victims.” I’m not judging their credibility one way or the other. That’s Congress’ job. To judge it DURING AN ETHICS INVESTIGATION THAT AL FRANKEN CALLED FOR, HIMSELF.

I guess the Democrats are cool with losing one of the few Dems who had the BALLS to stand up to the most outrageous corporate whore right wing agenda we’ve ever seen from a GOP-controlled Congress. I suppose those female congresspeople aren’t too worried about Republicans winning Al’s Senate seat in 2018 and thus enabling the GOP to pass more and more sexist policies that will hurt ALL of us?

At some point, you have to ask — are the Democrats more concerned about fighting sexism, or appearing righteous and justified? Isn’t this just a symbolic act? I fail to see how Franken stepping down is going to help stop the creeping encroachment of sexist policies currently being forced on us by Trump and the GOP. In fact, in the long run, it will probably make things worse for ALL women.

And if they’re expecting Roy Moore or Trump to learn a lesson, and step down or resign, following this sad turn of events..well, I suggest they don’t hold their breath. Or…maybe they should.

(BTW ..any right winger who decides to reply to this article by claiming to believe Franken’s accusers, but not Roy Moore’s, or Donald Trump’s…can fuck right off with that shit. Your comments will be deleted.)
